Works statement:
This fragmented biscuit-inspired art installation originates from the "Bird Droppings Series" by FOLLOWING X. The centrepiece is a tall, fragmented "stone" monument constructed from everyday cardboard boxes and foam adhesive. The metal bird droppings atop the monument are accessories that can be removed and worn. Eternal bird droppings, a temporary monument—the work seeks to create a tension between material and form, pointing toward themes of anthropocentrism while constructing a certain absurdity and romance.
